Education (first-time)

A first-time applicant must submit proof of at least three hours of interactive or classroom instruction, including electronic notarization, completed within one year prior to the application. Courses must be registered with the Executive Office of the Governor and use an approved core curriculum.

   Take the required education if you are a first-time applicant

   The Governor’s Office partners with the Department of State on the Notary Education Course linked from notaries.dos.fl.gov.

2. 02

   Apply through the Department of State notary site

   Use notaries.dos.fl.gov for the current application. This page does not list age, bond, or exam beyond the education statute they quote.

3. 03

   Register on StampSide

   After you use the Florida Department of State site, create a public page: photo, where you work, and how clients reach you. You can appear in the Florida directory. The page stays unpublished until a commission is on file.
