Considering a commission

Become a notary

StampSide does not commission you. Your state does, on its official site. We give you that link, a public page after you register, and the tools to fill it in: photo, commission, and signature.

  1. Your state’s official site

Pick a jurisdiction. The guide links the commissioning office — that is where you apply.

  2. Register on StampSide

Create an account. You can do this while you apply, or after the commission is in hand.

  3. Getting started tools

Photo, commission when you have it, and an email signature. Until a commission is on file, your public page stays unpublished and is labeled Commissioning — not Verified.

What you publish

  • A page that is yours

Photo, bio, commissions, service area, languages, hours, and the phone or email you choose to show. Put the link on a card or in a signature.

  • Credentials, labeled honestly

Each commission is Self Reported, Document Verified, or Source Verified — labeled for what was actually checked.

  • Findable by state

Listings are organized by where you are commissioned. Closers and the public search a state or city, then open your page.
